Connections.

“Reflecting on my connections with myself and everyone I’ve come into contact with.”

As i sit here and type, i can’t help but think about my life and those who’ve been apart of it so far. Some for the better, some not so good, some for a little while, some that feels like it’ll last my lifetime, and some that I’ve only met for a day or even a few minutes. Everyone you come into contact with leaves an impression or some type of imprint on you from the experience. Family, friends, coworkers, ex’s, strangers. You feel the connection. It’s not always “good or bad” but you feel it. When you talk to someone or have an interaction, there’s a moment of familiarity in it. Even if you don’t know a person, it can feel like you do. That feeling that you’re talking to another living, breathing human being. We’re all just here trying to make the best of and live the life that were given. One of the things that I’ve grown to love is the randomness in the people that i meet everyday. Working in retail you come across a variety of individuals. I love how a kind gesture from a stranger can make your whole week. I love how you may see the same customer a few times and you build a small acquaintanceship. I even love how a stranger can trigger such intense emotions from a small interaction. It’s the uniqueness of being here and present. It’s a constant navigation of your emotions, other’s emotions, and the world’s emotions. It’s so messy but at the same time so beautiful. Seeing how deeply intertwined and connected we all are is an amazing feeling. I’m forever grateful to be here, even in the hard times. It’s the genuine bonds and connections that can really help keep you going. Knowing that you aren’t alone in the world can make one hell of a difference. If you’re reading this, you aren’t alone. You are loved, valued and appreciated. You matter, always. We all matter. Let’s spread more love with the connections we make with each other. Much love.
