It’s a weird time to be in while trying to date or actively pursue love. Everyone acts like everyone else is disposable. It’s okay to keep your options open and explore, but also be authentic and genuine when dealing with people. Communicate your wants, needs and desires. Communicate your dislikes, your triggers and your own “negative” qualities. Let your intentions be known. Nowadays people date for a come up, because of looks, or because of what you got. What happened to liking people for them? I hate the idea that love is dead because it isn’t, it’s just misplaced. However, it truly does start with you. I know it may sound cliched that “loving yourself is how you find romantic love” but it really is true. You gotta love yourself first to know you and know what you want. Learn yourself through and through. Love is an exchange of energy between two people and you can’t give what you don’t know or give from a place of lack… I’m saying this to say be careful out here but still be present and full of love. Be open. There are still people out here who genuinely want true love and companionship. Live in that energy for yourself first and trust that your partner will find you too.
